It’s Saturday, March 8st and I’m gazing out my window with the sun shining as I’m writing this. Looking to March with some hope as tonight, we spring forward to daylight savings time! Don’t know about you, but I’ve been waiting for this since November.
Spring is a time of renewal, editing closets, organizing, and taking stock in one’s life. Today I’m going to share some recent “Hero” pieces that I added to my forever wardrobe, now available and on sale! Making purchases at the end of a season not only saves in the long run, it gives you something to look forward to in the future.
I took a few of these on my trip to France a couple of weeks ago and they were perfect! Starting with the Brushed Cashmere Cardigan from BR I wore wrapped as a scarf to on the plane to travel in then with the glorious Soft Leather Midi Skirt I wore repeatedly (and will for years to come). For evenings I styled the skirt with the Luxe Off The Shoulder Top, tights and these fabulous Black Lace Kitten Heel Slingbacks. So chic and they look more expensive than they are. Another cashmere addition is this glorious Fucshia Stripe. I received so many compliments every time I wore this. Styled it with denim, the leather skirt, and a pair of olive wool pants I've had in my closet for a decade. Also from BR! I threw my Petrusse Scarf over my shoulder, and I was ready for dinner out.
Two more additions, were a pair of Patent Leather Booties by Ara, a European Brand I found last year in France. I had ordered these in anticipation of our travels this year and they were perfect! I wore them on the plane, I could walk miles in them, they kept my feet warm, waterproof and they have an edgier look which makes them fun don’t you think? On our trip I only took these and the Kitten Heel Slingbacks. That was it!
The second purchase that I’ll wear in spring are these Carla Leather Flats. The best! I have another pair in black I acquired last year and love them. They offer support and an arch, cush and the slightly squared toe definitely has designer vibes. Very flattering. Not only that, many of the color options are available in wide!
I hope you find this helpful and inspiring! Take stock of what you own. Create a "wardrobe wishlist" to keep in the back of your mind so when you come that special piece, you can check it off your list. If you want to see more detail on these pieces, click on the image below and it will bring you to my Stylist Catalog at Hue & Stripe with links and more descriptions of fit and sizing.
Some items I link may earn a small commission, which supports my business!
Happy Daylight Savings time!!! I'd love to hear from you. Xo Zoé
